"Can you believe it yesterday it snowed, the mountains were white. Today the sun shone the snow is gone and my plants are shouting Hullo! I walk past olive trees new leaves, little hands wave at me like happy children... I wave back. Next it's the comfrey, planted in the autumn and hiding all winter comes out today peek-a- boo hullo, sour figs have suddenly doubled in size so happy, new peas have broken through pushing aside the earth, amazing! I'm so happy, yes shit happens, and it's all transient, all samsarra, the void, here I find meaning purpose the River flows out of the comfort zone, yes the journey through heaven and hell, I've bought my ticket, I'm up for the ride, what can I say? Bring it on! I chant the mantra"Triambakam"as loud as I can, as I walk on this  land, this Hartland this earth. "Heal the earth and you heal yourself." River, September 2008
