Olives
Our extra virgin olive oil is home grown using permaculture principles. However we are not yet organically certified as our small operation doesn’t justify the expense. We’ve been members of the Klein Karoo Organic Initiative for the past five years and serve on the committee. Our olives are grown ethically without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. We are assisted by earthworms, homemade compost using our own cow manure, companion plants and also effective micro-organisms. During season you will get the opportunity to pick your own olives. This balm is a cure-all for bruises, burns, rashes, insect bites, arthritic joint pain and even eczema, stretch marks, scar tissue and piles. That is why it is called a miracle balm and can even be safely used on household pets or larger animals such as cows and horses. The balm is cool and soothing. The more frequently you use it the better it works. As it causes rapid healing it should not be used on open wounds that are not thoroughly and hygienically clean. Ingredients: Jojoba oil, Olive Oil, essential oils of Lavender and Rose Geranium, bees wax, and comfrey extract, all organically grown. Click here to order this product.

Every year in spring (September – November) we plant at least a hectare of olive trees. After all, these trees give us olives and olive oil! Our long-term goal is to plant 20 hectares.
